Mailbox Wordbox is the latest in a long line of Wordbox games developed by Kent L. Smotherman (aka Code Gecko), dating back to 1996. The first version ran on the original Palm Pilot PDA. Later versions ran on the Psion PDA as well as later versions of PalmOS PDAs.
To celebrate 10 years of Wordbox enjoyment by people all around the globe, Kent decided to do a web version: Mailbox Wordbox. Unlike most web-based games in which the players all have to be on the server playing at the same time, Kent decided to think "Outside the Cage" and allow players to play whenever it is convenient for them, while still all playing the same game only at different times.
Gecko Gameworks brings new game ideas to the web by "Thinking Outside the Cage". And we're not stopping at just new game ideas or how to play them, but unheard of pricing ideas ($2/month) and a lot of new similarly unheard of (and still super-secret!) ideas.
